Paper Accepted at RoboSoft 2025
Our paper on "Contact Reduction for Efficient Simulation of Soft Robotic Systems" has been accepted at the IEEE International Conference on Soft Robotics (RoboSoft 2025).

Eurographics 2023 Success
Our short paper "Real-time Haptic Rendering for Needle Insertion" was presented at Eurographics 2023 in Strasbourg. Great discussions with the graphics and medical simulation community!

Paper on "Hybrid Model Reduction for Interactive Soft Tissue Simulation" accepted at the Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention conference.

First Working Prototype
The team successfully demonstrated the first integrated prototype of the SPECULAR simulator, combining real-time physics, haptics, and VR rendering.

SOFA Consortium Meeting
SPECULAR team organized a workshop on "Medical Applications of Real-Time Simulation" during the annual SOFA Week in Strasbourg.

Project Kick-off
The SPECULAR project officially started! Consortium meeting at ICube Laboratory in Strasbourg with all partners: Inria, ICube, InfinyTech3D, and medical advisors.

Great news! The SPECULAR project has been selected for funding by ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche). The project will receive XXX k€ over 4 years.
